F-9/11 Propaganda?

Absolutely! But so is everything else that is distributed en-mass for mass consumption.

Does this mean the merit of the film's content is suspect?
Shouldn't the content of any film or broadcast to mass audience be suspect?

Does this mean the message behind the film is designed to influence opinion?
Absolutely! Why do you think products/brands are becoming more and more overt in terms of placement in films/movies? To influence the audience to buy the product.

Does this mean that Michael Moore is subversive and conniving?
Uhh..heh... that, I feel is open for each and every viewer to determine on their own.

Watch the movie. Contemplate the content. Draw your own conclusions. Most importantly, be an informed voter. Seek truth. Do not accept grandiose media trends as truth. Be your own person.

Discussing whether or not Micheal Moore is hypocritical, fat, worthless, has ulterior motives, is a liar, pays his bills late, smells like roasted turkey etc, blah-blah-blah, is about as productive as debating religion/abortion etc.

I, for one, am happy to see someone, somewhere, stand up and present an alternate viewpoint on our current state of society. Alternate to what we are being spoon-fed by mass media, news programs, Wal-Mart etc.

I saw it Friday and I have to say it was great. I would not categorize it as a documentary because it does not show an objective point of view but at this point, I am not that interested in Bush's side of the story. In my mind, he has proven himself to be incompetent, misleading and the absolute worst president in modern history long before Michael Moore made this film.

If you take away the opinions expressed in the film you are left with shocking facts about the administration that everyone should be aware of. Particularly if you plan to vote.

he left out sooo much. It seemed to rely largly on 1/2 truths, which is sad given the almost unending amount of real ammunition there is against the governemnt. It seemed he was more interested in making a partisan statement than a real one.

I finally got a chance to see it yesterday. I thought he did a better job on this one than on Bowling For Columbine. My initial complaints are Moore's rather minor manipulations and borderline subliminal mssg.'s (such as the segment of Eric Clapton's "Cocaine" during the Bush AWOL portion). Other than that, most of the info spoke for itself and I thought he did a great job of making the Bush/Bin Laden connection. I'm still letting it settle in and I'll probably see it again because it's difficult to form a strong point of view upon one examination of information. Definitely an improvement over Columbine, though. I barely got through that horribly biased argument. Moore is just as bias, here. But, he still made a better case despite the obviousness that he had his mind made up on the conclusion when he started examining the issue. If only because Bush was just too easy a target.

As well, I feel compelled to search info that my dispute his claims. Any guidance in the right direction of conflicting info on Moore's claims (perhaps an objective web site) would be appreciated.

As for the Cocaine thing I thought it was brilliant. It's widely known that he had a problem...

I really wish folks would apply as much critical scrutiny to the everyday consumption of media as they do when PROMPTED TO DO SO by the right wing in Moore's case...Im ALL for critical thinking only it seems something people pull out thier ASS ON TIME AND IN LOCK STEP when it comes to Moore. I mean most people criticising hte thing (not you all) have not seen it and have swalloed hook line and sinker hte right wing bilge that comes out these days regarding hte film and Moore -- Beliveingin that they are free of media manioulation when in fact they are apolitical tools of the right wing ehco chamber.

I mean the know nothingism I've run into around this film is amaaaaaazing. Good thing thouhg many many peopel are seeing it and trusting thier own instincts in regards to what to take with a grain of salt.

The movie it important. Tell you friends to see it, buy your parents tickets!

Send them to Moore's site for the fact checking team

I'm well aware Bush has an alcohol problem. Farenheit was the first suggestion I've heard of cocaine. But then, I don't consider past indiscretions or problems to be automatically suggestive or symbolic of anything beyond past indiscretions and problems. So, I don't pay much attention when people make a big deal of them. I'm more concerned with them present.
